User Fields
This window involves user-defined employee information for data that may be specific to your organisation. Information important to an organisation that is required to be stored somewhere or is requested to be stored as part of a conversion from another product may need to be stored in User Fields such as Bonus Group, Agreement Number, Old Employee Number, Subsidy Code, Average Hours per Day, etc.

- Field Numbers - This allows for a descriptor to be defined for each user field.
Rules and Guidelines
- User Dates are used to store dates such as Long Service Leave Adjusted Service Date through User Date 1. User Date 2 is usually reserved for Annual/Sick leave adjustment service date.
- Any of the User data can be reported via Extractor and the user Dates can be used in sending date-based reminders to managers.
- Single Sign-On and Global ID numbers are sometimes used by organisations with Global HR systems that require Preceda to interface with them and refer to the Global HR employee ID.
- The descriptions of User Fields and User Dates are defined using the Field Numbers option where History retention requirements for these items can also be defined.
- There are 11 user fields that can be utilized and 6 User dates.
- User Fields are of various lengths with some being numeric only.
- Information entered on this window could be accessible to the employee when logging in Employee Self Service.

There are 7 User Dates with the first being reserved as Adjusted Service date for Long Service Leave and Other Leave Accrual Types. The User field window displays the remaining 6 User Dates which are user definable using Field Numbers and can contain any valid date.
Global Identifier is used by organisations with a Global HR or other systems and can be used to store the Global Employee ID that may not be the same as the Preceda employee ID number. Other Global ID can be used to store other Ids such as the Vendor number for the employee used in the Global Accounting Package to reimburse employee expenses.
When Program Control PYSLP Position 15 is set to Y, the value set in field GLOBAL ID 01, 02, 03, or 04 is used as the password to open encrypted email pay slips depending on the configuration made to PYSLP Position 16.
- While you can save the password in lowercase or a combination of lower and uppercase, please note that when opening the encrypted pay slip, you will need to enter the password in UPPERCASE.

While Global ID 01 can accommodate up to 100 characters and GLOBAL ID 02-04 can accommodate up to 250 characters, you can only use the first 32 characters as the password to view encrypted pay slips.
